(I write to you) that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Saviour 2 Peter 3:2 adapted from NKJV
Our Father, You want us to submit to the authority of Your Word, both the Old and the New Testaments. There are wolves in our midst who add to, ignore, undermine, twist, and/or remove parts of Your Word; through fancy reasoning they tickle our ears, trying to get us to water down Your moral absolutes and Your life-style guidance. Deliver us from evil, Father. Make us fervent lovers of Your Word who obey You because we love You. In Jesus Name, Amen.
